What do diabetics suffer if they get low blood glucose levels caused by excess insulin action?

Answers:
When blood sugar drops too low, like lower than 65mg/dL, your brain isn't getting the sugar it needs to produce the energy required for proper nervous function. In essence, your brain is starving, so it goes a little crazy - such as irritability, forgetfulness, disorientation, and other symptoms mentioned by the good people above me. This doesn't just happen to diabetics - it'll happen to anyone who lets their sugar drop too low.
go here, this might answer it.
I think you might be referring to what my dad sometimes gets (Type I diabetic, insulin-dependent). When he injects too much insulin or works too hard without eating, he gets low blood sugars. The effect of it is severe disorientation, sometimes irrational violence, and later on severe headaches, braincell loss and often no recollection of the event.
