all three act together in the regulation of breathing.the chemoreceptors are located at the aortic arch and functions as peripheral receptors that will send information about the level of oxygen and carbon dioxyde in the blood to the medullary center. The respiratory center in the pons and medulla will send information to the respiratory muscles.j receptors, located at the small bronchi is connected to the cranial nerve X (n. vagus). this is a form of autonomic regulation
