what causes 'sleep' in your eyes in the morning ?

you know, the stuff the sandman puts in the corners. I seem to get tonnes of the stuff. Is it something i eat or is the room too dusty or what ? I'd be much obliged if someone would tell me.
Answers:
when your eyes close your eyes still produce tears to keep things moist and lubricated, he excess leaks out the corners and out of the lids and dries, causeing the crusty, sandman sandI had an eye injury once and for a year or so after I would occasional wake with a dry eye, pulling the eyelid open was like rubbing sandpaper across my eye - you definately need that moistening effects at night.
these are caused by the same things that cause boogers in your nose. mucus membranes. depending on how you allergies are of whatever factors may affect your nose will most likely affect your eyes.
Its thought that the common house-moth, 'lepidoptera-bungaloworflattus. Lands on your face whilst you sleep. It carries satchels of moth poo in bags on its hind legs ( a bit like a bee with pollen ). It then uses saliva to stick the poo into the very corner of your eye. The moth then flies off at great speed, crashes into the TV screen ( that you had left switched on when you fell asleep ) %26 dies of a broken face.
try swallowing instead of being facialized
i believe it is dried up eye lubrication plus possibly some dust
ask the sandman
It's rather simple really. The fairies often play japes on the sandman and make him spill his bag of sleepy sand. It ends up in your eyes. Naughty but there it is. Just wash it out with some cotton wool or a flannel.
its a leftover from crossing over to the otherside.
fly crap, when your asleep the ** on your eyes, and you are sooo asleep you don't notice
The ears, nose, and throat are all connected. Sleep is merely 'snot' that escapes via the tear ducts from your sinus. Dont try this at home, but there are times, if you have trouble breating for any reason, that the 'snot' can come out while you're awake. Plz dont ask how i know!
its not sleep!its fairy pooh!the fairies leave it in your eyes when u sleep at night.
It's your bodies way of cleaning your eyeballs whilst you sleep.
