Balance problems are usually in the inner ear.
Parkinson's disease
Meniere's Disease. Multiple Sclerosis can cause a lack of muscle coordination.
Your balance has a lot to do with your inner ear. If you suffer from an inner ear infection, then it would be difficult to balance yourself and even to stand up.
there are many diseases where there can be imbalance.mostly the diseases affecting the midbrain, which is the centre of cordination in brain.there are many types of ataxias, like fredrichs ataxia, chorea.inner ear problems can also cause imbalance.parkinsons disease is also characterised by imbalance.
lack of muscle coordination is caused by varied reasons.imbalance in musle power, again midbrain lesions.
Generally, diseases which affect balance are either from a mechanical problem relating to the inner ear so that the body mechanically gets confused and is not able to tell where it is in space or from the cerebellum in the brain which controls how the brain percieves space of course any mucle related disease or injury will also affect balance even an ankle sprain.
Muscle coordination problems cans be from numerous systems it can be related to a problen in the brain like a stroke or parkinsons, or the nerves which communicate between the brain and the muscle like ALS or lou gerighs disease or Multiple Sclerosis, or a problem with the actual muscle
The most common one and the one that you can fix without going to the Dr is Vertigo it can be dizziness and actually nausea too. it can be fixed by taking ginger. studies have shown it more effective than dramamine. about 90% more effective.
