what conclusion do you make about this patient respiratory status?

19 old male is unconscious after drinking large quantities of alcohol
vital signs 97.6 F tympanic
pulse 56
respirations is 8
blood pressure 98%26#92;62
Answers:
B bradypnea, the slowing of respirations to below normal ranges.where as apnea is a lack of or cessing of breathing for a period of time and tachypnea is rapid respiration or hyperventaltion. (which is overall more than likely caused from the severe central nervous system depression the pt's in from the alcohol poisioning.)
he's asleep!
His pulse is low with that BP. His BP is good, but his pulse should be higher. Tymp. level is good. I think this guy is in some type of arrest. Eihier cardiovascular, orsome other type.
ABC: airway, breathing, circulation. Most important things in first assessment of any patient.Airway - potential issue of obstruction, and/or aspiration. He's almost certainly not protecting his airway.Breathing - respiratory rate of 8 is kinda low. Probably as a result of being intoxicated. So conclusion: not safe breathing on own, tube him.
clunk him in the head and toss him in the pile..
Pt is bradypneic. What's his spO2? Any ABGs done on this pt? He might need intubation then give fluids IV.
The guy is drunk try a sternal rub to see if that wakes him if put a pulse ox on him and get an O2 saturation if it is below 95 put him on 2 liters of Oxygen and let him sleep it off. But only if you are sure that there is no trauma involved was he found in his bed or on the sidewalk with his wallet thrown open and nothing in it.
but if I can only pic a b or C than B
becasue he isn't stopping his breathing and it isn't overly rapid.
The patient has bradypnoea - a respiratory rate of 8/min is low. Given his history, if he is maintaining his airway it would probably be sufficient to give him oxygen with a face mask to maintain saturations and PO2 to acceptable levels and he will probably recover in time.As for his blood pressure, he is probably suffering from dehydration and the vasodilatory effect of alcohol so he may need IV fluids to rehydrate him.
bradypneic
i would let him be.. when the alcohol runs out of his system.. he will be ok..
